Songs about flowers. Principally these are experiments in rhythm and form, made with contemplation towards layered textures and odd-time grooves, as understood through the aesthetic and affect of softsynth programming. Stylistically these 4 tracks mediate between jazz fusion and various strains of electronic music including drum n bass, acid techno, old PC game soundtracks, glitch music, and more.
I frequently in some way associate the music I listen to with imaginary places and associated imagery, and while making this EP I had the idea of a vast garden overrun with all kinds of sprawling wires and Gigeresque machinery, producing a kind of impossible bio-synthetic union. I think, as especially is the case with instrumental music that strongly emphasizes form, this kind of visualizing offers a mode of symbolically connecting to non-narrative art (as music frequently is) without also straddling it with the burden of narratological concerns. I would encourage you to imagine your own settings, or the one described above, while listening to this release.
This final product documents a process of learning and growth I've felt the need to collect somewhere, and I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for listening ✿❤

Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
